Current Projects
SALSA project investigates new programming models of parallel multicore computing and Cloud/Grid computing. It aims at developing and applying parallel and distributed Cyberinfrastructure to support large scale data analysis.
Polar Grid designs and deploys the Cyberinfrastructure for support of science studies of ice-sheets and glaciers GreenIT and Scientific workflow project moved July 2009 to CGL
The Open Grid Computing Environments project is a collaboration to build reusable components and services for constructing Grid.
QuakeSim/SERVOGrid, in collaboration with NASA JPL and other partners, we build Web Services and portals to support distributed geophysics applications for the investigation of earthquakes.
MSI-CIEC Portal for Minority-Serving Institutions Cyberinfrastructure Institute led by the Alliance for Equity in Higher Education. We participate and help design pro-active Campus visits "Cyberinfrastructure Days" to jump start use. We also run summer programs for computationally oriented students from under represented communities
GIS Grid Research investigates the integration of Geographical Information System services with Grids and Web Service Architectures.
Chemical Informatics and Cyberinfrastructure Collaboratory (CICC) is an NIH-funded collaboration between the Community Grids Lab, the Indiana University School of Informatics, and the IU Department of Chemistry, and several international academic and industrial partners to build the Web Service and Grid infrastructure needed to support the integration of distributed data and computational services for cancer research.
Historical Projects
NaradaBrokering is an event broker and distribution system that supports Grid and web services with features of both the Java Message Service (JMS) and the peer-to-peer technology JXTA. This project is led by Shrideep Pallickara.
Carousel (Collaboration Framework for Universal Accessability) project developed the environment supporting ubiquitous accessing to Community Grid systems from various small wireless devices such as Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs). These devices run the Microsoft Windows CE or PalmOS and work with traditional desktop computer.
GlobalMMCS investigates the integration of several different audio/video technologies through the use of service oriented architectures, software messaging, and generalized session protocols.
HPJava project developed libraries and preprocessors to facilitate scientific and parallel programming in Java.
